Re-Tech is a specialty mill. We work with Architects, contractors and do-it-yourselfers. The pictures you will view in the next few pages are product that has been cut for the Post and Beam homes. These timbers are cut from the salvage buckskin material as described on the intoruduction page.  These blow-down trees, and long abandoned or lost logs, (what we call buckskins) are retrieved through sustainable forest management practices.

The following pictures will show you a slavaged buckskin log and the quality beams that can be cut.

One set of pictures features #1 Douglas Fir Beams, free of hear center, cut defect free for a cabin built at Lake Tahoe. You will also see #1 stamp graded select structural Doug Fir, free of heart center. Over 10,000 board feet were cut for a home in the San Juan Islands.

Next, 3 x 12 Doug Fir, defect free. And last 12 x 24 x 40 Douglas Fir Beams, free of heart center. Over 200,000 board feet were cut for a designer in California.

Western Red Cedar is available in salvaged material. We have cut 3”, 4”, 6”, 8” 10” and 12” wide CVG cedar interior, molder ready blanks. However, pictures are unavailable at this time. When projects are completed, we can make them available to our customers and will be entered into our web page.
